OLYMPIC GOLD MEDAL DISPLAY

For three weeks in July, the Pittsburgh Recruiting Station set up the above display consisting of the Olympic Gold Medal and other trophies won by Capt. William W. McMillan of Turtle Creek, Pa. For thousands of Pittsburghers, it was the first view of this coveted, world-known prize. The display was located in the Mellon Bank's Hobby Theatre window where and estimated 90,000 people viewed it during the three-week periond.
